A metamorphic form of limestone (where limestone has undergone heat or pressure transformation), marble is a hard, crystalline rock which is usually white with coloured mottling or streaks. Marble has been revered for its beauty and used in both sculpture and in building construction since classical times.

What are the benefits of a marble benchtop?

  • Although soft, marble is quite durable and a long-lasting option for your benchtop as it is resistant to scratches, cracks and breaking
  • As it is a widely available stone, marble is often a cost-effective option
